What do you want to do after graduation and why?: I want to be a Navy Pilot because I have always enjoyed flying.

Why did you choose Navy?: I chose Navy because of the family atmosphere the program has and the once in a lifetime opportunities that the Navy provides.

What would you tell somebody that is considering coming to Navy to play football?: I would tell them that there is no other program like this program. Everyone from top to bottom cares immensely about each other. If you want to be a part of a true brotherhood that continues even after you are done playing, this is the place for you.

If you could play another position, what position would you play and why?: I would play defensive tackle because I love being in the trenches. 

If you could choose any opponent for Navy to play that is currently not on the schedule, who would you choose and why?: I would choose Boston College because it is very close to home for me and everyone I know would be able to go.

Favorite class at the Naval Academy and why?: My favorite class so far was my Leadership class because we had a lot of great conversations in class.

Hardest class at the Naval Academy and why?: The hardest class I have taken so far is my Chemistry 2 class. It was very interesting but we went very deep into the nitty gritty of chemistry. 

Favorite teacher at the Naval Academy and why?: My favorite teacher is LCDR Forisha because he was very passionate about what he did and engaged everyone in the class. 

Favorite form of social media and why?: My favorite form of social media is Twitter because it is pretty funny and I get a lot of news from it.

Favorite person to follow on social media and why?: My favorite person to follow is Tom Brady because he is the greatest of all time.

If I could have dinner with any 4 people at the Naval Academy who would you choose and why?: It is hard to just choose 4 people but I will go with Jacob Swanner who was one of my roommates at NAPS, Brandel Cwynar who was in all of my classes at NAPS, Brandon Johnson and Eli Perry who are teammates of mine were also in 3-1 with me at NAPS. 

Favorite sport to follow at the Naval Academy outside of football and why?: I’m a huge basketball fan so I love watching both the men’s and women’s teams get after it.

If you didn’t play football at Navy, what sport would you play and why?: I would play Rugby because I love contact sports.

What song is playing on your headphones in the locker room right before taking the field?: I listen to Hells Bells by AC/DC

What is your dream vacation?: My dream vacation would be my family and friends all hanging out on a beach somewhere.

How many teams should make the FBS Playoffs?: I think that the top 10 teams in the country should make the playoff and have it in a similar style that March Madness is like.

What is the best thing about being in the  American Athletic Conference?: It is definitely the competition we play. These teams are some of the best in the country and we have the privilege of playing them.

Favorite Coach Niumatalolo quote: It’s frickin’ hard to win.

One word to describe a Navy Football player: Indefatigable 

Who will be the surprise player on offense in 2022 and why?: Maquel Haywood is going to be an animal. He had the kick return against ECU and will have similar runs like that on offense this year

Who will be the surprise player on defense in 2022 and why?: Eavan Gibbons will be because he has put in an incredible amount of work this off-season.

Who is the toughest player on the Navy Football team and why?: Trey Cummings because he went through something unimaginable and never quit.

Who will be the Most Valuable Player on offense in 2022 and why?: Tai Lavatai will be because he is a great leader and will make great decisions as our QB.

Who will be the Most Valuable Player on defense in 2022 and why?: Nick Straw because he is an animal.

What are you most looking forward to in 2022?: I am looking forward to being on the field with my brothers playing the game we all love. And of course BEATING Army.
