Grab a ticket and some popcorn for our picks to the top games and sports events across Houston in June 2022.

This month sees the end of polo season and the SaberCats entering their first-ever rugby playoffs, plus Pride Night at stadiums across Houston, a middleweight boxing championship, and more.

Top 10 Games & Sports Events This Month: June 2022

  • Houston SaberCats vs. Austin Gilgronis at Aveva Stadium | Friday, June 3 – It’s a battle at the top of the table when the SaberCats host rivals from Austin on the final match of the regular season, where playoff positioning is on the line. $15 and up. 6pm.
  • Houston Dash vs. Orlando Pride at PNC Stadium | Friday, June 3 – It’s 713 night on the pitch, where you can see the Dash take on Marta, Sydney Leroux and ex-Houston keeper Erin McLeod. Get in the gates for $7 and enjoy dollar dogs and $3 beer. $7 and up. 7:30pm.
  • USPA NYTS Cup at Houston Polo Club | Sunday, June 5 – The final match of the spring polo season sees teams jockeying for the last cup before summer break. Swing by for live music, a champagne divot stomp at halftime, plus get a look at the latest 2022 Ford trucks on display. Individual courtyard tickets are $32.50; $15.50 for ages 12 and under. Boxes for 2 to 20 guests range from $89 to $895. 6pm.
  • Sugar Land Space Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Aviators at Constellation Field | Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 12 – The Space Cowboys take on Vegas for a weekend summer series that features fireworks on Friday. $8 and up. Times vary.
  • Houston Dash vs. Portland Thorns at PNC Stadium | Sunday, June 12 – USWNT champ Becky Sauerbrunn and the Thorns arrive in Houston for a Western Conference clash in EaDo. $12 and up. 6pm.
  • Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park | Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 19 – All weekend long, the first 10,000 fans will have a shot at Minute Maid giveaways, including an Alex Bregman jersey on Friday, a Ryan Pressly bobblehead on Saturday, and an Astros duffel bag on Sunday afternoon. $33 and up. Times vary.
  • Jermall Charlo vs. Maciej Sulecki at Toyota Center | Saturday, June 18 – The WBC Middleweight World Championship is on the line when beltholder and Houston’s own Jermall Charlo faces challenger Maciej Sulecki in Downtown. $50 and up. 5pm.
  • Houston Astros vs. New York Mets at Minute Maid Park | Tuesday, June 21 & Wednesday, June 22 – It’s Pride Night at the ballpark for the first game of this back-to-back series, featuring a fanny pack giveaway, Pride entertainment and dollar dogs at the concession stands. $19 and up. Tuesday 7pm; Wednesday 1pm.
  • Houston Dynamo FC vs. Chicago Fire FC at PNC Stadium | Saturday, June 25 – Led by Swiss winger and former Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, the Chicago Fire pay a visit to the Dynamo on Pride Night in EaDo. $11 and up. 7pm.
  • Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park | Thursday, June 30 – Rescheduled from early April, this game brings the Yanks to town for one night–only in what’s sure to be a contentious affair at the ballpark. $45 and up. 5pm.
